This is our flagship workshop in the Turning Privilege Into Change series. This workshop is for anyone who is beginning and still expanding their understanding of privilege and oppression. This is a general course and the only one offered as a half-day workshop.
Participants will learn how to embody and apply the Transformative Solidarity framework to map any form of privilege and oppression.
Through various exercises, games, and discussions participants will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of their own experiences of privilege and oppression as well as the experiences of those different than themselves.
In our One-Day Workshop participants will develop at least one additional action tool, and practice the use of that tool during the workshop.
In our Weekend Workshop participants will deepen their understanding and embodiment of the Transformative Solidarity Framework through direct practice, action tool development, and integration processes.
This workshop will delve deeply into the system of racism and white supremacy. Participants will be invited to explore and interrogate their own racism and white privilege and learn how to create change at each level of awareness within the Transformative Solidarity framework.
We will focus specifically on deconstructing the Institution of Race as it relates to white privilege. Within that deconstruction we will explore our Individual and Interpersonal experiences as we build a greater understanding of how the system of Racism exists and continues.
*Please note: this workshop is offered only as a One-Day or Weekend Workshop.
This course specifically focuses on the intersection of Gender and Race. Understanding that Gender and Race cannot be separated is key to creating systemic change. This workshop particularly explores how the intersections of privilege within Race and Gender can be challenged to create systemic change.
All offerings are available virtually and in-person. Workshops and programs follow the Transformative Solidarity (TS) Model.
